Decorative and Allied Arts

A small but important element of the Steedman Architectural Collection is what Mr. Steedman called the ‘Allied Arts’. These are influential books and sections of books dealing with Interior Design, Decoration, and Architectural Ornament. From lacquer work designs from India to Rococo ceiling murals to modernist stonework, researchers will find many examples of historic ornamentation to inspire them.
